What a signed-in kindergarten account can actually do today -- each one a shipped capability, not a roadmap item:
- The roster is how a five-year-old is known by name on day one -- imported once, the child is on the class list, the guardian is the contact of record, before any photo or page exists.
- The youngest children cannot consent for themselves, so a guardian's explicit, reversible photo consent leads here more than at any older grade; facial recognition is a capability we are building and is not turned on today, and no child is auto-tagged.
- The first school portrait is the artifact of the year; picture-day portraits match to the child off the roster, no manual sorting of five-year-olds.
- A class storybook -- a teacher-approved keepsake page per child -- fits kindergarten far better than a gradebook; every page passes the teacher-approval gate before anyone sees it.
- For a full-day-of-school first year, a parent's real question is 'was my child here and settled' -- attendance reflected off the roster answers that, not a grade.
