One roster, imported once
The roster is how a five-year-old is known by name on day one -- imported once, the child is on the class list, the guardian is the contact of record, before any photo or page exists. Shipped
Consent, guardian-first
The youngest children cannot consent for themselves, so a guardian's explicit, reversible photo consent leads here more than at any older grade; facial recognition is off by default and a child is never auto-tagged. Shipped
Picture day
The first school portrait is the artifact of the year; picture-day portraits match to the child off the roster, no manual sorting of five-year-olds. Shipped
The class storybook
A class storybook -- a teacher-approved keepsake page per child -- fits kindergarten far better than a gradebook; every page passes the teacher-approval gate before anyone sees it. Shipped
Attendance off the roster
For a full-day-of-school first year, a parent's real question is 'was my child here and settled' -- attendance reflected off the roster answers that, not a grade. Shipped
Handled carefully, consent first

At this age a child cannot consent for themselves, so a guardian gives an explicit, reversible photo consent. Facial recognition is off by default and a child is never auto-tagged; a portrait matches to the child off the roster, and the disclosure of any page is gated at the moment it is shared, not left open.
This grade does not run on a gradebook. There is a gradebook on the platform, but Kindergarten is built around the class keepsake, the roster, attendance, and a guardian-first consent posture. Grades-out is a later-grade story.
Where this year sits on the ladder

What is built and what is honest-off
Live payment rails — checkout and any card charge — are founder-gated: no card is charged on these pages. The platform is SIS-adjacent: it imports the roster and reads against it, and the school keeps the authoritative enrollment record in its existing system. There is no AI over grade records — grades are recorded and projected deterministically, never inferred. Mailed report cards are honest early-access: the print-ready generation is built, and the postal send is the early-access step, named plainly. The school stays the FERPA custodian, and a rep-scoped session reads zero grade rows at the database engine. No competitor brand names appear here. Money, pricing, and checkout are not on this page.
